The City of Victoria will turn 200 next year, and the City is inviting visitors and residents to celebrate our bicentennial by taking part in festivities all year long.
However, one special day that you won't want to miss is our official 200th Anniversary date, April 13, 2024.
That's right - on that date, 200 years ago, empresario Martin De Leon received approval from the Mexican Government to found the colony of Nuestra Señora Guadalupe de Jesús Victoria in the state of Coahuila y Tejas.
Earlier in the day, the City will host the Victoria Day of Caring, a communitywide service project, and the DeLeon Statue Dedication and Plaza Expansion Ribbon Cutting.
After a long day of fantastic events, it's time to party! The City will host the
Bicentennial Ball at the Victoria Community Center, a ticketed event that will include food and drinks, live entertainment, and a celebration of all things Victoria.
We are seeking extra support from our community to make this event the best that it can be. Please consider joining this once-in-a-lifetime celebration of Victoria by becoming a sponsor or underwriter at one of the tiers listed below.
