t’s time for Duke Theseus’s wedding day to Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons. Young Hermia wishes to marry her beloved Lysander, though her father demands she marry Demetrius, formerly betrothed of Helena. The two pairs of star-crossed lovers run away to the forest only for both boys to fall in love with the same girl thanks to fairy magic. Nearby, an amateur theatre troupe meets to rehearse a play for the duke’s nuptials, while the mischievous Puck helps his master Oberon, King of the Fairies, to play a trick on his queen Titania. Can the mortals escape their moonlight-drenched bonds, or will the hearts of all remain under the magic of the fairy king?
